14 DAY TRIAL // Brandi Glanville, one of the stars of the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is raking up haters left and right and now those detractors are getting vocal and asking that she be removed from the show as soon as possible.
According to a petition filed with Change.org, Brandi is no longer wanted on the reality series and they are gathering signatures to see if they can boot her off the show. Brandi has made a name for herself on the TV show as an outspoken character but she's also managed to spark some controversy with her blunt and often politically incorrect style.
Only this season she sparked outrage when she made some racist remarks about co-star Joyce Giraud, as well as raising some eyebrows with her constant fights with Lisa Vanderpump. To make matters worse, she also made an off-color joke about child molestation on her podcast. All of these slip-ups haven't escaped the public which is now asking for her axing.
There are already 1,300 signatures on the petition, with many more signing it every day. The text of the petition reads “Please remove Brandi Glanville from ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ immediately. Brandi Glanville has made repetitive comments in the open media, social media, the actual television show and interviews which are distasteful and offensive to many groups of people.”
The text continues with explaining why Brandi is no longer welcomed on the reality show “She jokes about racial stereotypes and child molestation among other very serious issues. Her behavior and words are hurtful, offensive and repulsive beyond the point of entertainment or ‘good TV.’”
But don't worry, Brandi still has her fans who immediately responded that she can't be fired as she still has to provide for her family.
To these people, the person who filled the petition responds that Brandi is a New York Times Best Selling author, something which has earned her respectable sums, as well as getting handsomely paid for her time on the TV show so far, which means she wouldn't be left penniless.
Also, Glandville has another TV appearance lined up on “Celebrity Apprentice” which means she's very much in demand, despite (or should we say because) of her controversial character. From past experiences, it's safe to say that Brandi's position with the show is safe, since these petition never end up influencing the network's opinion.
However, Brandi had better watch what she says and does from now on, as celebrity stars have been given the boot before for saying or doing something that fell into conflict with the network's own views.
