Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is among the companies expected to bring the first Windows Phone 7 devices to the market, and the leaked HTC HD7 is one of these handsets. We've already spotted the phone at large a few times before, but some new info on it has just emerged, offering a better glimpse at its features.

The upcoming HTC HD7, which was not announced officially until now, comes to the market with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, making it a great companion to the Android-based HTC EVO 4G, currently on sale at Sprint in the US.

Moreover, when launched on the market later this year, the new device should pack a 1GHz processor (most probably the second gen Snapdragon included in the new T-Mobile myTouch), as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper.

The upcoming mobile phone is also expected to include 8GB of internal memory, a feature that might not appeal too much to users, especially since devices powered by other OSes offer far more storage space.

Other specs of the new device include support for quad-band radio frequencies, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) connectivity options, the full range of usual sensors, and more.

Interestingly enough, a recent article on Engadget, which brings forth these details on HTC HD7 along with some photos and a video of the device, notes that Dolby Mobile Sound should also be present on the phone's specs list.

This should prove a highly appealing feature for the device, that's for sure, not that it would lack great capabilities that users appreciate in new smartphones.

The HTC HD 7 is expected to arrive on the market in Germany on O2's airwaves, and rumor has it that it would be launched in less than two weeks.

While this hasn't been confirmed as of yet, some info on the phone's pricing also emerged, unveiling the fact that it would go for €559 (about $770) free of contract, or €79 ($109) on a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Hopefully, more details on the Windows Phone 7-based HTC HD7 would become available in the near future, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
