L.A. Noire is set to receive more downloadable content in the following weeks, as Rockstar confirmed that the game is far from being "complete," so new adventures are going to await the protagonist, Detective Cole Phelps.

L.A. Noire impressed the industry back in May when it was released for consoles like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, with its solid investigation gameplay and the detailed open world created by Australian developer Team Bondi and Rockstar Games.

Since the game's release, quite a lot of downloadable content was launched, ranging from suits for Pheps to wear to whole cases like the recent Reefer Madness or Nicholson Electroplating.

Now, Rockstar has confirmed to Kotaku that the game "isn't complete yet," so we can expect more content to arrive in the following months.

The company clarified its words in order to prevent any rampant speculation, saying that, "All that statement is referring to is the Consul's Car case which we hope to be bringing to more of you soon. Stay tuned!"

Many people are now talking about a more solid expansion for L.A. Noire, probably a whole desk of new cases, seeing as how both Team Bondi and Rockstar highlighted that they had to cut quite a lot of the adventures planned for Cole Phelps in order to finish the game on time and not have it span more than one disc, on the PS3, or three discs, on the Xbox 360.

Rockstar did the same with last year's Red Dead Redemption, which received some multiplayer-oriented DLC, after its release, and then a full-pledged expansion in the form of the Undead Nightmare, which introduced a new single-player adventure for the game's protagonist, John Marston.

As of yet, however, Rockstar is preparing one more case for L.A. Noire, but after that, it's anyone's guess.
