14 DAY TRIAL // Ava London, the transgender model who got international media attention for the first time in her life earlier this year, when she was revealed as the woman with whom Hank Baskett had an affair when his wife Kendra Wilkinson was 8 months pregnant with their second child, is determined to show the world just how much of a villain he is.
In the process, she hopes to clear her own name somewhat, while also convince Kendra that she needs to dump Hank to the curb five minutes ago, because he’s no good.
In a new interview, this time with Life & Style, London claims to have even more recordings from the phone chats she had with Hank, with the implication she will be releasing them soon to prove her point: Baskett is bad news.
Hank Baskett grew desperate when he learned he was about to be exposed in the media
So far, we’ve heard only one segment of a much longer conversation, which lasted about 40 minutes, London explains, speaking of the leaked tape that emerged online a short while ago, confirming that, indeed, the tryst between the two had taken place.
Until that moment, it had been just London’s word against Hank’s, or better said, against Kendra’s because she called London a liar: Baskett simply refused to acknowledge the scandal in any way.
“Hank told me that Kendra knew about the affair and that she had Googled me and that she was upstairs crying. He asked me, ‘How are you not going to help me save my family?’,” London reveals.
“He kept saying that he was going to lose his life. And I asked him, ‘Are you going to kill me?’ And he said, ‘No, no, this is all my fault. I know this isn’t your fault. I know you’re a good person’,” she continues.
London also says that she’s “glad” the first tape leaked because it shows she shares none of the blame, because Hank was the “charmer” who pursued her and not the other way around, and because he was the liar who tried to sweep the whole thing under the rug when he found out he would be exposed as a cheater in the press.
This is what he’s practically trying to get London to do in that recorded phone conversation, when he asks her if she’s going to help his family or not. According to London, Baskett tried to buy her silence, to prevent her from talking to the press in exchange of the promise he’d provide for her financially for a really long time.
The silver lining: there’s always money to be made out of this
There are strong indications that this cheating scandal, just like the one from earlier in 2014, involving Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, is entirely fabricated to boost interest in a reality show. The clues include Kendra’s contradictory statements in the span of just a couple of weeks, Hank’s silence, and the very convenient timing of every new, shocking revelation.
For instance, this new interview from London comes right after Hank and Kendra started shooting a new reality show based on the cheating scandal, Celebrity Marriage Boot Camp. In addition to that, they also documented it all on season 3 of Kendra on Top, the family’s reality show.
So, regardless of whether Kendra, Hank, and Ava are all lying about what happened (because nothing ever really happened), they’re all laughing all the way to the bank.
