AMD's future dual-GPU graphics card, the Radeon HD 6990, is a very hot topic these days, with many interesting details related to this graphics monster popping out on the Internet from various sources.

And the latest such “juicy” information we've come across comes from KitGuru, who've apparently had the time to go for an extensive hands-on with the card a long time before the official launch.

We won't really go into further details related to the card's capabilities and power, because we've already speculated a bit on this topic within one of our previous articles on the matter, but instead we'll try to focus on something a bit different, namely the available connectivity options.

It's already somewhat of a well-known fact that the dual-GPU Radeon HD 6990 will pack plenty of interfaces, but most of them will be miniDisplay port connectors, and it's quite a well-known fact that the number of DisplayPort PC monitors currently available on the market is in fact fairly limited.

However, according to the source mentioned above, it seems that AMD's manufacturing partners (the likes of Sapphire and XFX) will actually offer a solution to this problem in the form of specific adapters, enabling users to connect the card to just about any type of monitor, no matter how old it might be.

Of course, if you do go all out and spend your hard-earned cash on the HD 6990 (because we're quite sure that this thing won't come cheap at all), it's perhaps a good idea to spend a few more dollars on a very serious display as well.

After all, given the huge output this thing has in store, a 24-inch Full HD display is certainly a must.

Plus, if you really want to push the built-in EyeFinity to its limits, then it's a good idea to get several such monitors, although, to be perfectly honest, at this point, the price of a complete system already reaches some values most gamers won't really afford.
