Only a few statements

Grand Theft Auto 4 is one of the most appreciated games, enjoying a massive amount of popularity from fans who have been eagerly awaiting it for a few years. This fan base pushed the title on top of sales charts, where it stayed for quite a lot of time.

Although it was launched for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with a PC version soon to be released, most people bought it for Microsoft's console because Rockstar stated that it would bring some exclusive DLC (Downloadable Content) packs with the use of the Xbox Live system. Although there has been a lot of speculation about the content and the release of these updates to the game, Rockstar hasn't made a lot of comments regarding them, saying that they would be ready when they're done.

We have heard from Microsoft on several occasions that the downloadable episodes would be ready around Christmas time, a perfect period to boost the sales of the Xbox 360 even more. Now, Stephen McGill recently spoke to VideoGamer about these DLC episodes for GTA 4 and stated that he actually knew the release date, but couldn't tell us. He then went on to say that we might expect them somewhere between November and January.

"Rockstar has said it's in their next quarter, which runs from November to the end of January. It's obviously Rockstar's product so I will refer you to them to find out when they're ready to start talking more about it. I obviously know, I'm very excited. So, yeah. Talk to them. What little I know I can't even share with you or your readers. I'm very happy, so that's all I'm going to say. Rockstar are amazing developers, GTA is an amazing franchise. I think they'll do their franchise proud."

This definitely sounds like promotional talk, but considering the prestige that Rockstar has, the episodes will certainly be innovative and will gain a lot of critical acclaim. All that's left for us to do is keep waiting and hope that the episodes will arrive soon.
