Who is the undisputed queen of US television? Oprah Winfrey. What does she do best? Host talk shows. Why? Err? money? She is, after all, the best paid TV celebrity in the United States.

The next step in her career was already decided, an "Oprah channel" on YouTube, made possible by the teaming of Harpo Production and Google's online video sharing site. Oprah commented that she is very happy about the move and that after having her own TV show for about 22 years it is high time she explored another avenue.

The content on the channel will consist of "exclusive video including video I made myself just for YouTube...what's coming up on my show from time to time, we are going to be telling you and also what happens backstage and during commercials and more", Oprah added. Video sent by viewers will also be shown on the channel.

With Figures from Forbes.com estimating that she has earned about 260 million $, she is indeed the one entitled to have her shot at being the talk-show star of cyberspace as well. Her show has won several Emmy Awards and is the highest rated talk show in television history and she has been ranked as the richest African American of the 20th century, with a net worth of over 2.5 billion $, the most philanthropic African American of all times and also the world's only black billionaire for three straight years. According to some assessments, she is the most influential woman in the world.

The 53-year-old star is sure to crowd flocks of users around the newly created channel and increase her fan-base substantially as more people will have unlimited access to it. Right now, the show is aired in about 134 countries.
