It seems that the driver lost control of the car after performing a stunt that involved him driving over a couple of cars, and could not brake anymore. Authorities are also working on this lead.
Initial reports said that 13 people had been killed and over 83 injured, but authorities have confirmed for the AP that the accurate number is 8 dead and 79 injured.
An investigation is now underway to determine whether safety conditions for the monster truck show were respected. The driver is looking at a manslaughter charge and he has been arrested.
