14 DAY TRIAL // When Jessica Simpson and then-husband Nick Lachey starred together in MTV’s reality show “The Newlyweds,” her fans finally got a look beyond the glossy pop star façade. That also meant not knowing the difference between tuna and chicken and her professed fondness for breaking wind. The same fondness reportedly got Jessica in trouble with her mother, Us Weekly says.
According to the tab, Jessica and mom Tina were at a meeting discussing Jessica’s upcoming denim line when the singer had what could best be described as a very windy moment. A loud one too, the tabloid says, labeling the story with “Exclusive.” Aside from the obvious jokes that simply seem to write themselves here (“Breaking: Wind” is the first that comes to mind), the magazine insists the moment was a very awkward one – which is quite understandable, after all.
“While one of the executives was speaking in a room full of five people, Jessica let out a very loud fart,” an insider reveals for the magazine. The abundance of details could easily make one believe the insider was, well, actually inside when the incident happened. “Her mother [Tina Simpson] was there, and it prompted her to turn around and yell, ‘Jessica!’ The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say,” the tipster reveals for the same publication.
On a more serious note, Simpson recently announced that she was working on a line of denim, thus expanding her business empire even more. As we were also telling you in August last year, Jessica also has a lingerie line out, in addition to several shoes and handbags collections. Reports also say that she’s working on some music, so this could mean she might be coming out with an album soon, though that is still pending confirmation.
As for the lingerie line, Jessica was saying last summer it felt like the most personal project she ever undertook. “I think lingerie is a special part of what you wear every day. It’s fun to pick different colors and styles. What you wear underneath your clothes helps define the outfit, whether T-shirt bras, push-up bras, different patterns and colors, you always have to choose what works best,” she was saying at the time.
