For Sarah Burge, the 51-year-old woman known as the Human Barbie, getting your 7-year-old daughter a voucher for liposuction for Christmas is nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, she's outraged that people would call her a bad parent for it.

Burge made a lot of headlines last year when she showered her daughter Poppy with presents few mothers would probably offer their daughters at such a tender age.

They included, as we also reported at the time, a voucher for breast enlargement surgery, pink Swarovski jewelry, a computer and a super-expensive spa break.

This year for Christmas, Poppy didn't find toys or dolls or even a puppy under the tree, but a voucher for liposuction, the Daily Mail reports.

As Burge, a self-confessed plastic surgery addict, sees it, it's an investment into Poppy's future.

“I put the voucher in her stocking - there's nothing wrong with that. She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy,” Burge explains.

“I see these vouchers as investing in her future - like saving money for her education,” she adds.

This is not the first time that Burge has justified her choice for presents for Poppy this way: she believes children have changed, with little girls no longer dreaming of fairytale princess but of real people.

It's understandable for a little girl to want to grow up dreaming of becoming a WAG or a reality star, so Burge wants to do everything in her power to make things easier for Poppy when the time comes.

“Poppy is a normal kid who is good at sports and loves playing outside. Girls don't want Snow White and Cinderella any more. They want to be WAGs and famous like Cheryl Cole and Lady Gaga. I'm just supporting her and making her dreams come true,” she said in an older interview cited by the Mail.

“Looks are a big part of how our futures pan out - there shouldn't be a stigma around wanting to look good,” she added.

Poppy's lipo voucher cost £7,000 ($10,906.7 / €8 422.8).
