The game comes with single- and multiplayer modes for an enhanced experience

Starting today, gaming enthusiasts can enjoy the features and capabilities of a new Gameloft title on their Android and Windows Phone devices, in the form of Modern Combat 5: Blackout.

Several days ago, the mobile game was confirmed to arrive today, and the download links for it have already gone live, both in the Google Play store and in the Windows Phone Store (iOS users will be able to grab it too, via App Store).

This is the latest installment in the popular Modern Combat franchise, and will provide users with a great mobile experience, with both single- and multiplayer modes.

Additionally, the title promises four soldier classes, better graphics when compared to the previous game in the series, and a variety of other new features.

“Step into the action as the latest instalment in the best FPS series raises the bar for shooter games once more! Create a squad, add your friends and test your individual and team skills against other squads,” the game’s description reads.

“Is single player your thing? Then step into a world on the brink of anarchy and shoot your way out of one dire situation after another to expose a lunatic who’s trying to tear the world to shreds.”

There are 4 customizable soldier classes that users can choose from, all of which can be leveled up across both single- and multiplayer modes, namely Assault, Heavy, Recon, and Sniper. All you will need to do is find the one class that suits you best.

Additionally, the game allows users to easily activate class-specific skills by earning and spending Skill Points, the game’s description reads.

Those of you who will choose to purchase the title (it was released on both platforms at $6.99/€5.19) will also enjoy epic team clashes in Squad vs. Squad matches, as well as the possibility to talk with other players in Global and Squad Chat.

At the same time, Modern Combat 5: Blackout will deliver Individual and Squad leaderboards, while also allowing users to engage into limited-time events in order to win cool rewards. Courtesy of a variety of attachments, users will also be able to customize their weapons.

Players will be able to engage into both single-player missions and multiplayer matches in order to accumulate XP and level up, while also getting the option to unlock higher-tier weapons by mastering lower-tier ones.

The title promises fast-paced story missions with various challenges that have been set up in various locations, including Tokyo and Venice, along with a new Spec-Ops missions for a real adrenaline rush.

One thing that you should keep in mind is that Modern Combat 5: Blackout will need an Internet connection in order to work.
