Windows Mobile phone users now have yet another updated navigation solution available for their handsets, the MobileNavigator 7 from NAVIGON. The new update for the application comes to the market with compatibility with the latest version of Microsoft's operating system, namely Windows Mobile 6.5, and with the price tag of 74,95 Euros for the European version, which, the company states, has been reduced by 20 percent.

“The new version offers MN 7 customers as well as new customers the opportunity to upgrade their smartphone with additional features and services for navigation,” Gerhard Mayr, vice-president of worldwide mobile phone business & new markets at NAVIGON, says. One of the new features available for Windows Mobile handset users is NAVIGON Traffic Live2, which has been already enjoyed by users of Apple's iPhone device for some time now, the company notes.

The Live Service, which is priced at 24.95 Euros, comes towards users with real-time information about traffic incidents, so that drivers are aware of what happens on the road ahead. Moreover, the new software update also brings to the table access to Google Local Search, so that users can perform destination searches directly from the MN 7 software.

“The software update also offers the option of setting the map display in portrait or landscape format. Another MN 7 upgrade is the Latest Map Guarantee already established with NAVIGON PNAs whereby NAVIGON guarantees new customers installing the MN 7 on their Windows Mobile device for the first time the very latest map material at all times, or alternatively the opportunity to download the latest map material on to their device within thirty days after the first use, ” the company notes.

The updated MobileNavigator 7 comes for a price tag of 74,95 Euros instead of 99 Euros, an offer available until January 18. At the same time, users can also enjoy a series of options with the application, though they will cost extra. NAVIGON Mobile Navigator EU and Traffic Live can be purchased together for 89,95 Euros, and there are also the “ADAC Camping and Caravanning Guide 2009” and the “ADAC Caravan Park Guide 2009” packages available for camping enthusiasts for 19.95 Euros.
