Apple states on the Support section of its website that the company has finally resolved the issues surrounding MobileMe. After weeks of struggling with lost emails and poor syncing, the company identified and fixed the problems. Most users don't have to do a thing. Some, however, may need to reset their data from MobileMe to be able to sync.

From Apple's Support section:

Apple identified and resolved an issue with MobileMe Sync on iPhone and iPod touch. Although no action is required for most members, some may need to reset their data from MobileMe to sync normally again.

In order to do so, Apple outlines a few steps users must follow to be able to sync. The company notes that, even though your data should appear again on your iPhone or iPod touch Calendar and Contacts applications, there's a slight chance it won't. Therefore, you must do the following:

1. Restart your iPhone or iPod touch: Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on. 2. Tap Settings, select Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and then select your MobileMe account. 3. Turn off syncing for the affected data by moving the slider to "OFF" for Calendars and Contacts. Touch the Stop Syncing button that will appear and wait for confirmation that the syncing has been turned off. 4. Move the sliders back to On, and wait for confirmation that syncing has been turned on again. Press Home and then check to see that your data has been restored for Contacts and Calendars. Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for your information to sync with your device.

Apple also felt it was necessary that, after all this MobileMe commotion, users found it acceptable that MobileMe could experience temporary issues (like any Internet-based service), should contacts and calendars no longer appear on their iPhone or iPod touch. To confirm that is the case, Apple advises users to check System Status on MobileMe Account and the MobileMe Support site.

According to Macworld, Apple is said to have moved onto improving other aspects of the service, now that these bugs have been ironed out.
