Only 70 grams

The third "M-Series" mobile watch phone we have seen from CECT, the Chinese phone manufacturer, is now out on the market. There's a really strong market for this type of devices, as they look extremely high-tech and instantly turn the user into a real life James Bond.

The M800 model is the smallest yet, coming from CECT. It weighs 70 grams, as much as the smallest old-fashioned handsets manage to reach. This makes it more tiny and appealing, although it's still bulky and looks huge on any wrist. The device certainly looks very little like any regular watch out on the market. It rather resembles a child's waterproof watch, through its large sizes and plastic case.

The CECT M800 manages to pack some pretty impressive performances and turns out as a high-tech device, far from the first impression of it being a toy. The device comes equipped with a 1.3-inch touchscreen that also supports handwriting input. This should make it possible to send text messages at acceptable speeds. There is also a small stylus included, although it should feel more like a toothpick because of its tiny sizes.

Interestingly enough, this device also includes Bluetooth connectivity and it also supports MP3s, which makes it similar to regular handsets within this price range. Moreover, it also has 128 MB of internal memory to fill mostly with sound files and pictures of small sizes. Useful enough, there is also support for English, Arabic, Simplified Chinese and other languages as well. The M800 watch phone brings for the same money an extra amount of personality and innovation, although not at best quality and with a poor design.

The handset runs in GSM networks and will be available for a price starting at USD 150. Sounds pretty affordable for the coolest guy in the neighborhood who wants to own one.
