On Monday, Retina-X Studios, LLC announced that its hidden monitoring software for Android smartphones, Mobile Spy, offered users the possibility to view all the photos and videos captured with the handset's camera, as well as all the emails sent or received on the device. The new features expand the capabilities of the solution, which enabled one monitor calls, texts, browser and GPS logging.

According to the company, as soon as the hidden application is installed on the device, activity logs are viewable online in real time. The application has been designed to record the actual content of messages, to log full call details and web browser visits. The GPS location is linked with maps and recorded at a rate set by user. All logs are viewable at all times from a secure website, the company added.

“Today's addictive smartphones can be dangerous for a teenager. If your teen is addicted to their phone, they are more susceptible to the dangers of the Internet. Without proper monitoring, you might never see whether the secrets they are keeping are dangerous or not. Mobile Spy gives parents and employers the ability to know the complete truth before it's too late,” James Johns, CEO of Retina-X Studios, commented.

The online Mobile Spy account will show any photo or video taken with the Android device as soon as it has been recorded. This way, parents will be able to monitor the photos sent by their teenagers, not to mention that the feature can prove a great option when it comes to exposing corporate espionage. And since emails and texts are monitored too, the monitoring is even tighter. Not to mention that the new version enables the recording of contacts added to the device, as well as that of calendar events.

The company notes that employers should benefit from increased effectiveness with the new software version, while parents would monitor the activities of their children more efficiently. The Mobile Spy app is available for all handsets running under the Android operating system, including those powered by Android 2.x. Mobile Spy is available for download from the company's website.
