Going to the shopping mall to buy something seems to be more difficult than it used to be in the past. New technology also means new possibilities and this is the case with shopping too, as handset users will have the chance to make their purchases right from their mobile phones, at 2shop4.

There was a possibility to do this in the past as well, although it is a fresh concept on the UK market. Producers are now putting this new technology to the test, with the intention of launching it this fall on the British market and even extend it globally starting with next year.

2shop4 lets users buy all the products that they can normally find in stores, by using the mobile phone. They can use the Internet and SMS shortcodes in order to purchase a wide range of brands, high street stores, supermarkets, travel agencies, books, DVDs and many more. Other products will be added in the future, in order to expand the mobile shopping mall and make its offer as rich as possible.

The project's scale is greater than it might sound at first. The concept's developers are looking to introduce shortcodes along all products wherever they are advertised. This means that magazines, TV adverts, billboards and even virtual worlds, such as Second Life will include these codes in order to make it possible for the user to easily access the product on the mobile shopping mall.

In order to buy a specific product, customers will only have to send the shortcode, securely pay on their mobile and then wait for the purchases to be delivered at their home. The great advantage that 2shop4 brings is that it can be accessed from any operator and accepts all major credit and debit cards, such as MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Delta and Switch, or via Paypal.
