Global Music International, a leading content aggregator delivering music videos and music tones to the telecom industry, recently announced that China Unicom NewSpace will officially begin broadcasting its collection of music videos from both Chinese and Western musicians on the cellular network of China Unicom, the third largest mobile carrier in the world. This relationship establishes a new digital music consumption model, enabling China Unicom NewSpace to be one of first to deliver music video content to the mobile platform.

The relationship provides a win-win situation for both China Unicom NewSpace and Global Music International. China Unicom NewSpace will gain access to innovative, international content that will allow its parent, China Unicom, to maintain and grow market share through customer acquisition. For Global Music International, the benefit is the potential new reach into China Unicom's 36 million CDMA 1x subscribers for music video content and all of its 141 million subscribers for ring tone services.

Global Music International first engaged with China Unicom through China Unicom NewSpace, which is the subsidiary responsible for the carrier's wireless music services, among other rich mobile media content. The two organizations were tasked with jointly designing a framework for enhancing China Unicom's wireless music market, and co-developing a new digital music consumption model that would expand China Unicom's wireless music service offerings.

Delivery for Global Music International's music video content will be offered on unique mobile channels, and the Company's ring tones and ringback tones will be made available through China Unicom directly.
