Etch A Sketch will soon be available in an online and mobile game form. The application will come as a result of the partnership between Player X and online games developer FreezeTag.

The game tries to combine creative drawing action with more than 100 levels of engrossing arcade-style games. This should make it target a wide audience, including those who find the family games appealing and traditional casual gamers as well.

Etch A Sketch has been for years now one of the most original drawing toy. The new mobile version allows users to start drawing with the help of the phone's number pad or directional arrows. By pressing 0, the user can erase all drawings and start a fresh one. Moreover, players also have the chance of saving up to three of their masterpieces.

The two companies rely a great deal on the history that this game has already built among people. "With Etch A Sketch's extraordinary brand recognition, we are confident that kids and adults alike will enjoy these new Etch A Sketch games and the new Knobby characters", commented Craig Holland, CEO of Freeze Tag.

"Etch A Sketch is an ideal example of how a traditional toy can cross over into casual online and mobile games. By launching the mobile game at the same time as the online version, we are ensuring the audience has an opportunity to play wherever they happen to be", said Tony Pearce, CEO at Player X.

The mobile game "Etch A Sketch" will be available in December and the online version should also be released a month later. Player X has a worldwide license that allows it to publish the mobile game in more than 150 global carriers. This means that the application will be available for an average number of 2.5 billion people.
