The dispute with Langdell has been settled

Edge, the popular action-puzzler game developed by Mobigames, is now back on the App Store, after having been pulled down in May due to a trademark dispute with Tim Langdell, CEO of EDGE Games, GDC 2009 speaker and Lead Game Faculty at National University. Although users are now able to purchase the game from the software portal, it seems that no official information went public on what the two companies engaged in the dispute have settled.

As many of you might already know, the action-puzzler Edge was pulled down from the US and UK App Stores after Langdell contacted both Mobigames and Apple in April and stated that his company owned the worldwide “trademark” EDGE. It seems that the negotiations between the two parties went well in the end, as the game is now back and available for acquisition.

For the time being, there are no exact details on what the two agreed upon, as none of them commented on the negotiations, neither on the reasons for which Edge was pulled down, especially given the fact that Mobigames’ David Papazian hasn't explained too clearly the situation, “We have legal issues with a man named Tim Langdell,” he said back in May, reports Finger Gaming.

The game's removal resulted in a long series of discussions on different forums, it seems, involving a wide range of enthusiasts around the world. “We are doing our best to [...] put Edge on the store again without any risk,” Papazian stated about a month ago, and it seems that the company indeed managed to get things right so that users would be able to acquire their game from the App Store in the near future.

Those who are not too familiar with the action-puzzler Edge should take a look at the video embedded below to learn a few things.
