India-based mobile developer MobiTrail announced the launch of more than 50 applications and games for Qualcomm's Brew Mobile Platform operating system. The applications are meant to provide both education and entertainment for users, while the games, designed to be simple and innovative, deliver a casual experience for mobile consumers.

MobiTrail has been developing content for Brew MP for over three years, Qualcomm's platform being the main focus for the Indian developer. Markets covered by the developer comprise India and Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. "Our strategy is to deliver mobile applications and games that create an engaging and enjoyable experience for the end user through Brew MP," explained Vikas Kedia, CEO of MobiTrail. "The benefits and opportunities that come with developing on Brew MP are significant, and it has allowed us to become extremely confident in launching our new products in new markets, like the United States and Latin America, beyond the ones we currently serve."

Some of MobiTrail's newly released applications include Wild Words, Big Fish Hunter, and H20. Wild Words is a puzzle game where players have to link letters in order to create new words. 10 points are awarded for each word, and a bonus of 100 points is given for the Wild Word. Two modes of play - timed and unlimited time, provide players a fun and easy-to-use vocabulary challenge.

Big Fish Hunter is an arcade-style fishing game where players compete to win the prestigious title of "Big Fish Hunter." Throughout 15 levels, gamers will enjoy a fun fishing experience.

H20 is an application that analyzes users' recommended daily water intake. It takes into consideration users' weight, climate and exercise patterns and reminds them to drink the recommended water during the day.

"Consumer demand for new and exciting consumer-based applications and games is significant in the United States and growing rapidly in both India and Southeast Asia, providing developers a significant revenue opportunity," said Mitch Oliver, vice president of ecosystem development for Qualcomm. "We are pleased that Brew MP is MobiTrail's OS of choice for developing key applications and games for their mobile consumers in these markets."
