This could come in handy

Do you remember the MoGo Mouse? If you do, then you have to know that Newton Peripherals has just launched something they call the MoGo Dapter. The tiny device seems to be the smallest Bluetooth adapter I've ever seen. I can see why the engineers from Newton Peripherals came to the conclusion that they have to develop something this small. You might think that a standard adapter is small enough, but this one has the size of a big fingernail. Motive for which you can leave it permanently connected to the USB port without having to plug it off when you carry your PC with you.

"The MoGo Dapter is consistent with our corporate objective of producing powerful and easy-to-use products that enable mobility on the go. Many laptop computer users refuse to use adapters of any kind, because they can catch, break off or become lost. As a result, they are not getting as much as they can from their mobile computing experience. The MoGo Dapter solves that challenge, and represents a significant step forward. We believe the ultra-low profile of the Dapter will become the standard design for adapters of all kinds," said Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals' President and Chief Executive Officer.

What is really interesting about this device and in general about Bluetooth adapters is that they are being bought mostly by laptop users. As strange as it may sound, about 250 million laptops without Bluetooth adapters have been sold around the world until now. So the need for compact adapters is bigger than you might think. The MoGo Dapter will be available in the second quarter of this year and if you want to buy it, expect to pay $49.99.
