Vittorio Missoni and his wife Maurizia Castiglioni were on the plane

The aircraft carrying Vittorio Missoni and his wife Maurizia Castiglioni has been located off the coast of Venezuela, near the Los Roques Archipelago.

As reported, the plane went missing in January with six people aboard. Venezuelan authorities informed that the two pilots were Hernan Jose Marchan and copilot Juan Carlos Ferrer Milano. The other two passengers, who are also missing, are Guido Foresti are Elda Scalvenzi.

According to E!, officials have confirmed finding the plane, labeled with series number YV615BN-2A. However, they are yet to recover the wreckage and check for human remains on board.

"The airplane has been identified on the fifth day of the current search mission, thanks to the technology of the oceanographic American ship, the Deep Sea. The wreck is located in the waters to the North of the Los Roques Archipelago," the families of the missing people said in a statement.
