The grandmother of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds is defending her son in murder allegations and implying that the girl's mother, Trista Reynolds, is involved in the crime.

Trista has launched accusations in hopes of having police file charges in her daughter's homicide.

Ayla's disappearance is still filed as a missing persons case, but Trista claims that she has seen police evidence in the form of photos of blood traces in the father's house.

Ayla was last seen in Justin Dipietro's home, where blood was allegedly found on the walls and sofa bed of a basement bedroom. Traces were also spread on a baby car seat, a doll and Dipietro's sneakers.

Phoebe Dipietro, the man's mother, who was also in the house on date of the disappearance, fights back, stressing that Trista herself could be a suspect.

In the video below, showing the missing toddler's mother blame Justin for the baby's murder, Phoebe Dipietro turns the table on the mother, suggesting that maybe she knows where the child is.

“Trista can say and do what she wants. To the best of my knowledge [law enforcement] has not confirmed her allegations nor stated that she has been cleared as a suspect herself,” Dipietro argues in a statement released to WCSH6.

She also hints that the media is lying about the alleged police photos depicting the bloody basement.

“Blog world, the newspapers and even the evening news have a way of distorting the truth. You have heard and read over and over again that Law Enforcement believe the 3 adults know more than what they are saying.

“Let me ask you this, if they so strongly believe that, why are they not asking the questions? Why are they not scheduling meetings with my family or with my attorney?,” she further asks.
