It was only yesterday when country singer Miranda Lambert, who happens to be very fond of animals and a fierce defender of their rights, rescued a pooch she found wondering by the side of the road and took it to an animal sanctuary.

The singer later tweeted about the incident, and asked if any of her followers or fans might be willing to offer this puppy a new home.

“I just picked this up on the west side of Tishomingo on hwy 22. Please contact Tish animal shelter if he is yours,” Miranda Lambert wrote.

“He was in the middle of the hwy with his food bowl and bed… If it wasn’t an accident someone is really sick,” she later added.

According to Ecorazzi, the singer is ready and willing to personally look after the dog until the latter manages to find a new family.
