As the name suggests, the focus of the new channel – and it's an entirely new channel not just a new show – is on our glorious world and not the entire universe.
From the looks of the first video, you can expect much of the same, scientific trivia delivered in an easy to swallow packet.
The video is only a couple of days old and it's proving quite popular, so you can expect more videos like this, hopefully more often than has been the case with MinutePhysics.
