MintBox Mini is a mini-PC designed and built by CompuLab. The new system was just made available and the first batch is already sold out.

CompuLab has been making mini-PCs powered by the Linux Mint system for quite some time, so users know that they are good, rather cheap, and of very good quality. The same can be said about their latest MintBox Mini which was announced a short while ago. It's a version less powerful than the regular MintBox, but it still comes with an AMD A4 6400T processor, a Radeon R3 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB SSD internal storage.

Only a small number of units have been sold so far and the MintBox Mini was sold out in the first day. It's not clear when the next batch will be sold, but it's likely going to be a bigger one and users might be able to also find it through Amazon.

MintBox Mini is powered by Linux Mint

In case this wasn't clear enough, the MintBox Mini comes with Linux Mint pre-installed. The OS has been the powering this devices for a long time, and there has been a close long-term collaboration between the Linux MInt Team and CompuLab.

"CompuLab is working hard on the MintBox Mini. SMT (Supervised Manufacturer’s Testing) was done, and they’re now soldering, testing, starting mechanical assembly and packing of the units. They sent us a picture of the casing, which is said to be metallic green and of car paint quality: We're expecting to get our hands on the MintBox Mini this month. PS: The first batch of fitlet/MintBox Mini is already sold-out," read the official Linux Mint website.

There is no information about the MintBox Mini stock, but make sure to keep an eye on Softpedia and we'll inform you when it's available for purchase once more.
