It may not have exactly been detailed to its absolute fullest, but the latest chassis form SilverStone still got a whole press release of its own not long ago, mostly because it supports the latest iteration of USB.

Home-theater personal computers (HTPCs) are seen as their own segment of the PC market because of their size, shape and focus on multimedia.

This means that they don't usually have high enough performance levels to actually be capable of actual gaming.

On the other hand, they usually make a point of having much storage and the ability to easily interface with any sort of external storage device that may give access to new videos or audio files.

With all the advancements in IT, the external storage market has grown quite varied as far as form factors and performance goes, now including flash drives, hard drives and SSDs, among others.

Knowing this, SilverStone outfitted the Milo ML03 with an internal motherboard connector that powers two USB 3.0 ports.

For those in need of a reminder, USB 3.0 support always gets special mention when present because it is ten times faster than USB 2.0 (it can transfer data at up to a theoretical 5Gbps instead of 480Mbps).

Of course, while impressive, support for the SuperSpeed standard is hardly the only feature of the enclosure.

SilverStone gave it enough room for one exposed 5.35-inch drive bay, one 2.5-inch internal bay and two 3.5-inch cages.

There are also four low-profile PCI slots, as well as the possibility of adding four 80mm fans.

All in all, the newcomer measures 440 mm (W) x 105 mm (H) x 340 mm (D) and is built out of 0.8mm SECC steel.

The press release that the company issued implied that availability of the HTPC chassis should not take too long to become a reality, although no pricing details were given.
