Miley Cyrus has reportedly been telling friends she doesn’t really care about the leak of the bong video

As opinions continue to be divided on the video of Disney star Miley Cyrus smoking a bong with what is believed to have been salvia, Miley herself has been talking to friends about the leak – and, apparently, she’s saying she was just having fun.

TMZ spoke to a close friend of the star (but not the one who leaked the video, who is now in hiding, having received death threats) and she says Miley is not losing sleep over the leak of the video.

As it turns out, she knew the footage would surface sooner or later, regardless of how hard her camp tried to block it from coming out.

Also, she sees nothing wrong with having some “fun” – which is precisely what she was doing – so why fuss about the leak.

“Miley Cyrus is telling her friends... the bong video published by TMZ is no big deal,” TMZ reports. Her actions would confirm this: she’s already back to work, acting as if nothing happened.

“Miley, who has taken a lot of heat since TMZ posted the story that she was smoking salvia, has been saying, she’s just young and having fun... this, according to friends in direct contact with her,” the same e-zine goes on to say.

“Miley acknowledged she’s seen the TMZ story and also knew it was going to eventually surface. As TMZ first reported, Miley’s camp was trying to bury the incident by scooping up copies of the video,” TMZ reports.

From this, one may easily conclude that Miley doesn’t plan on issuing a statement on the leak and, more specifically, on what she was doing on video, regardless of what her critics may say.

“Miley doesn’t care. She’s filming her movie and getting on with her life,” the friend says for TMZ.

While Miley chooses to go on with her life as before, salvia sales saw an incredible boost in just 2 days after the leak of the video, while politicians are using it to speak of the need to make salvia illegal in California as well, as we also reported.
