14 DAY TRIAL // There were a lot of dating rumors sparking off once Kellan Lutz and Miley Cyrus were seen getting off the same private jet in Miami on December 17. At the time, the media immediately put two and two together, or, in this case, one and one, and concluded the two were a couple.
After several days of silence, a source close to the entire matter reveals the two celebs are indeed somewhat of an item. It's reported that Lutz was the one who initiated contact and that “they've been hooking up ever since.”
That would explain why the singer and the actor shared a getaway to the Bahamas in mid-December and why they chose to get off the plane separately so as not to raise suspicion. But, the ever-vigilant eye of the press was quick to note and draw conclusions.
When prompted on the matter last week at the LAX Airport, Lutz denied any relation with Cyrus, saying that he was “happily single” and focusing on work for the moment. He laughed and shrugged off the rumors that he might be involved with the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
The twist in the tale is that Kellan Lutz is a friend of Liam Hemsworth, Miley's former fiancée as of September. The two were getting serious, but after Miley's infamous twerking performance at the VMAs, Hemsworth decided to call it quits.
Until some sort of official confirmation arrives, you can speculate freely along with the rest of the world whether Miley and Kellan are indeed seeing each other in secret.
Miley is currently busy getting ready for her New Year's performance in Times Square as part of the Ryan Seacrest bash and Lutz is looking forward to the premiere of his latest film “Hercules: The Legend Begins” which is slated to hit theaters in January next year.
