Seeing as how Christina Aguilera is pregnant and unable to perform, the producers of The Voice are looking for prospects to replace her as a judge. The word on the street is that they have reached out to Miley Cyrus on more than one occasion, but she has turned them down every time.

The reason for that seems to be Miley`s aversion to Christina herself, and, since she sees The Voice as her creation, she's unwilling to lend but a finger to help the TV production.

A source told Radar that “Miley is no friend or supporter of Christina, despite the fact they have a lot in common, including long associations with Disney and using some of same people through the years on their respective business teams.”

Since then, Aguilera has found her replacement in Shakira, and from next season Gwen Stefani is billed to take the judge's chair. However, every once in a while, the producers try their luck and send out invitations to Miley, but each time they get shot down hard.

“Miley is still resisting countless invites to perform on the show,” claims the same source. “Even if Christina has temporarily stepped aside, The Voice is still Christina’s show and Miley doesn’t want to lift a finger to help that woman.”

The reason for this bitter feud, at least as Miley is concerned, is the fact that Christina compared one of Miley's concert outfits, a revealing pair of leather chaps, to a similar pair she wore in the “Dirrty” video.

The comment could be interpreted as a praise coming from Christina, who wrote, “Cheers from one dirrty girl to the next @MileyCyrus…wear em’ loud & proud, girl-yes,” but Miley saw it as a fake way to remind people that she did it first.

“Miley couldn’t believe Xtina would Tweet about her wearing chaps on stage, reminding everyone that she did it first. It was such a fake compliment and undermined Miley in the process,” reveals the insider, shedding some light as to what might have ticked Miley and spurred her against the Disney veteran.

This constitutes a problem for the producers of the show, who are keen to bring Cyrus on The Voice because they think she could boost their ratings significantly.

But Miley is having none of it, and she's not shy about telling people why. “Last month Voice bosses made Miley another offer to have her perform on the finale show and Miley said no – and was very clear about her reasons!” concludes the insider.
