Miley Cyrus has just announced that she will be spending her New Year's Eve by playing at this year's Times Square party, as part of the famous Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

The 21-year-old singer was set to appear at the Fointainbleau Miami Beach Hotel in a show put together by her producer buddy Pharrell Williams, but it seems that she will not be packing a bathing suit in her luggage this New Year's, but thick mittens and a scarf.

Although, if Miley's previous performances are any indication, she will be probably rocking a far more revealing outfit, something involving latex, or thigh-high boots, or fishnet stockings, or all of them at once.

Miley announced her fans of the change of plans on Twitter, saying, “Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans.@RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!”

“I'm bummed I won't be in Miami wanna thank the homies @Fontainebleau 4 their support #turnupforme,” tweeted the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

Among other artists who will be giving it their all on the last night of the year in New York will be Ariana Grande, Capital Cities, Robin Thicke, Fall Out Boy, Jason Derulo, Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Hudson. The complete list isn't public yet, but Ryan Seacrest promised a full disclosure on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Miley Cyrus is currently enjoying a period of high profile in her career, having just been named MTV's Artist of the Year, having a top ranking album, “Bangerz,” and also being present pretty much everywhere in the media these days.

The controversial pop singer has managed a complete departure from her Disney image with her VMA and EMA performances this year, her twerking moves and the video for “Wrecking Ball” which features her wearing nothing but combat boots.
