Will love Rock Band 3

Rock Band is quite a phenomenon, a videogame that managed to cross over into the mainstream, attracting music from a variety of well-known artists and appearing in many real-life events. The game seems to even be used as a warm-up tool by none other than teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus.

Talking to MTV News, Miley Cyrus said that “I sat in front of the TV 90 percent of the tour, just playing 'Rock Band'. It's pretty cool that now I can warm up playing my own songs on 'Rock Band' and then go do it in real life. So it's pretty rad. It's a better warm-up.” It's unlikely that the music star has the necessary time to master Rock Band in addition to mastering real-life stage performances but an endorsement from her surely means quite a lot to the music simulation title from Harmonix.

The statement from the artist comes just after she launched the “Can't Be Tamed” album, which was marked by a live streaming show and by the release of the “Miley Cyrus Pack 01” on Rock Band, featuring five songs from her entire career, including “Can't Be Tamed,” “7 Things” and “Fly on the Wall” from “Breakout,” which came out in 2008, “Start All Over” and “See You Again” from “Meet Miley Cyrus,” the 2007 album that marked her breakthrough in the music world.

The most recent Rock Band release is modeled on the musical career of punk rock band Green Day and launched in early June, doing something similar to what made The Beatles-themed game a success in late 2009. The company is also planning to launch Rock Band 3 at some point this year, with a host of improvements. It will have full keyboard simulation and will allow for more accurate guitar playing.
