14 DAY TRIAL // Miley Cyrus pulled a one eighty with her concert in London. Before the concert, in a press conference she spoke of abstaining from drugs and alcohol and being “a poster child” for healthy living and she went on and on about how she was focusing on her performance, but during her concert in London her attitude changed dramatically.
The singer decided that her concert was a good place to promote some public service announcements, but she went about it the wrong way. Surely, the parents of the kids in the audience will be mortified to find out that their children were taught to smoke weed rather than cigarettes because “weed has never killed anyone, you guys know that, right?”
In her bizarre rant, Miley goes on to explain to the people in the audience why smoking cigarettes is bad and why smoking weed is good. She gives herself as an example, reminding everyone that she too used to smoke cigarettes for three years, but then she quit when she noticed they were slowly killing her.
Of course, by killing she's not referring to actual medical issues like lung problems, but to the fact that she noticed she was getting wrinkles on her face. So yeah, she decided to quit in order to keep herself looking beautiful. Mind you, Miley is 21 in case you didn't know and she's already worried about getting lines on her face.
This just goes to prove that being self-important, like so many celebrities out there today are, and also having a platform gives some people the impression that they can impart wisdom. Like Miley here who thinks that smoking weed makes your breath smell nice and this in turn will make people wanting to make out with you.
By the way the crowd was cheering, you can tell that Miley had struck a chord, which makes her public service announcements even more dangerous, especially since the wisdom she's imparting isn't backed by any scientific data.
Her little rant also sort of undermines her claim that it wasn't a drug OD that landed her in the hospital but an allergic reaction to antibiotics. It's clear that Miley likes to abuse the good stuff so it's very possible that her addiction actually put her in the hospital with breathing problems and not having an allergy to some unknown antibiotic for an alleged throat infection.
