14 DAY TRIAL // The bottom line for show-maker Miley Cyrus was that the show must go on at any price. Wind, rain or a missed costume change could have kept the pop star away from the stage during her latest concert when she strolled up on stage in her underwear.
Miley was performing in Milwaukee when she reportedly missed a costume change as she was preparing to launch into her hit song “23.” Undeterred by her lack in wardrobe, Miley boldly took to the stage in just her underwear and then tweeted about the event.
Her tweet read “not a new outfit for 23 ššš I didn't make my quick change and I couldn't not come out for the song so I just had to run out in my undies :(” although it's pretty sure that her disappointment was just an act as she later added “Never happened to me before. But I love my fans as much as they love me! I couldn't miss 23 ā¤ļø.”
Judging by the photos from her previous performances and the raunchy nature of all of Miley's costumes from her “Bangerz,” don't be fooled into thinking that she had to bundle up with a lot of garments. It appears that she only missed putting on a pair of red slacks, very similar to those worn by Christina Aguilera in the her “Dirrty” video.
As is was, Miley instead showed up on stage just wearing the accompanying underwear which was painted in matching red and black stripes, much to the shock of the crowds, if it can be said that any of Miley's outfits have the power to shock anyone anymore.
In the end, it actually worked out for the best, since in her underwear, Miley seemed dubiously more covered up than in her usually impossibly low cut leotards she wears on stage. It's also worth mentioning that many of the people in attendance at her Milwaukee show didn't even spot the difference, but it seems that Miley intends to come clean on her own before the press starts speculating.
Of course, there is also the possibility that this is all a publicity-seeking stunt, as were other outrageous things she's done on stage in previous shows. It was believed that many shocking accidents that happened on stage were orchestrated, such as her Katy Perry infamous kiss, her chewing underwear on stage and making out with random female fans.
