While she is touring the world, giving a whole new meaning to the words “outrageous performance,” Miley Cyrus has a setback at home. TMZ reports that the singer's home was broken into while she was away and some of her possessions, including a car, were stolen.

The police report that they were notified a break-in had occurred by Miley's assistant who came to the singer's home in North Hollywood. In their opinion, the robbery took place on Friday, May 30, sometime around 4pm.

Moving quickly, the police claim that they have already found two suspects, a man and a woman, who were seen scaling the fence on Miley's property, in order to gain access to her residence. An investigation was launched into the case since several valuable items went missing in the robbery.

So far, the police have determined that an unstated amount of jewelry was stolen, as well as a 2014 Maserati Quatroporte, a car that usually retails at around $100,000 - $140,000 (€73,325 - €102,655), making this daring break-in a significant dent in Miley's assets.

Though they scaled the fence to gain entry in the house, police claim that the robbers didn't leave any sign of forced entry behind, making police wonder if they had a key to the house. Officers investigating the case are said to be checking video surveillance footage to look for clues.

Sadly for Miley, her success seems to attract this kind of unwanted attention. Seeing as how her career is doing so well, thieves figure her home is packed with valuable stuff and that's why they are targeting her.

For the “Wrecking Ball” singer, this isn't the first time her home in North Hollywood is burglarized. Back in November 2013, just one day before the singer turned 21, unknown men broke into her home and boosted some of her property, mostly jewelry. Since the thieves were not caught, the case is considered to be still an open investigation.

During the latest break-in, Miley wasn't home as she was busy with the European leg of her Bangerz Tour, which saw her perform in Stockholm, Sweden, on the night her home was looted. It would seem the robbers know when to hit, usually when there is no one home, indicating that they at least watch the news, or that they were casing her home for some time.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus is set to continue her European tour until June 22 and will not be back in the United States until August 1, when the second leg of her tour takes her home again. Until then, she might want to invest in a better security system.
