Miley Cyrus is still fuming mad at her father for the interview he gave to GQ magazine back in December and that came out in print just recently. In fact, she’s so upset that she had her people pull all the strings until she canceled his appearance on The View, it has emerged.

As we also noted at the time, Billy Ray spoke to the magazine and said that Disney and “Hannah Montana” had ruined his life and his family, and then went on to compare Miley to Anna Nicole Smith and Kurt Cobain.

In other words, Billy Ray said that his daughter was surrounded by all the wrong people and that she was in serious danger of ending up like these two stars because no one really cared about her.

Understandably, Miley was furious when she saw the interview. She was even more so when she found out that her dad had scheduled an appearance on the highly popular talk show The View to speak on the same topic: her personal life and how it was reportedly going off the rails.

“When Miley found out her father was scheduled to appear on The View on Wednesday she went nuts,” a friend close to Miley says for PopEater.

She knew at once that she must do something to prevent that from happening, to gag Billy Ray and prevent him from getting more media at her own expense.

“Only last week Billy shot his mouth off in GQ, and now he planned to sit down with the [Barbara and Whoopi] and talk more crap about his family. No way would Miley or her team let that happen,” adds the spy.

At first, Miley actually believed that GQ had misquoted her father or even that the interviewer lured / tricked him into saying those things. When she found out about The View, she no longer had any doubts about this.

“At first Miley defended her dad wanting to believe he had been tricked into saying bad things by the magazine,” says another insider.

“Miley truly wanted to give her father the benefit of the doubt, goodness knows she’s said things she wishes she could take back. But after she found out about his media trip to New York no more excuses could be made,” the spy adds.
