14 DAY TRIAL // The tabloids are teetering today at the prospect that Miley Cyrus, the infamous pop star that went on to take the phrase “coming out of your shell” to new heights or, better said, lows, is finally in a new relationship after the failed engagement to actor Liam Hemsworth. The winner of Miley's affection seems to be Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick.
ET Online claims that the two were spotted together on Halloween Day and that they are currently dating. One insider confirmed the new romance for the site and claimed that Miley was all loved up with the 21-year-old Patrick, a student at USC and also a model.
Patrick's family is worried that Miley is going to be a bad influence on him, warns him to stay away
It seems that the media is not the only one who picked up on this possible romance, Patrick's family also got wind and the word is that they are not happy with his choices of partners. Though he comes from showbusiness himself since Patrick's father Arnold was an actor, the Schwarzeneggers have moved on since and think of themselves above the Hollywood scene.
Arnold went on to marry Maria Shriver, Patrick's mother, who also happens to be John F. Kennedy's niece, so thus part of the American “blue bloods,” and also had political aspirations as he went on to become the governor of California.
Arnold and Maria are said to have already tried to talk Patrick out of dating Miley Cyrus, afraid that she is going to get him “hooked” on the Hollywood scene. They must have failed their convincing as Miley was photographed leaving Patrick's apartment on Friday afternoon, looking cozy with the model.
Miley and Patrick have dated before in 2011
This is not the first time the two have sparked romance rumors. Back in 2011, Patrick was telling the press that he was crushing on Miley, something which didn't go down well with the family at the time. Back then, it was Miley who took initiative by swiping his number from Selena Gomez, a mutual friend, and going on a couple of dates with Patrick.
As an interesting side-note, Patrick's cousin, Conor Kennedy, is revealed to also have a weakness for blond pop stars as he briefly dated Taylor Swift in 2012, indicating that the Kennedy grandchildren are quite drawn to the pop scene.
A couple of months ago, Miley revealed to the press in an interview that she still had feelings for Liam Hemsworth and that he also loved her still, which sparked talks of a possible reunion and eventual marriage, but since then both have kept quiet on the subject. It looks like Miley is moving on.
