Disney star says she can understand now why girls fall for him

Earlier this year, Miley Cyrus came to the attention of the international and local media for doing what can only be labeled “the unthinkable” – at least in fans’ eyes: saying that she could not understand why Robert Pattinson enjoyed such extraordinary popularity. After meeting him at the Teen Choice Awards the other day, the young singer and actress has had a change of heart, as OK! Magazine informs.

“Twilight,” as we already mentioned on a previous occasion, was the biggest winner at this year’s ceremony, scooping up 11 awards out of the 12 nominations it got. Miley Cyrus came next on the list of the big winners of the night, while she was involved in the rest of the show as well, what with performing her “Party in the USA” and presenting Britney Spears with the Ultimate Choice Award for her entire career and contribution to pop music.

Naturally, Pattinson and Cyrus crossed paths at one point during the evening and, from what Miley herself says on her Twitter (as per the aforementioned magazine), it was more than enough to get her to see the error of her previous ways. “Gave a hug to Rob Pattinson today. Ok girls I get it now. So cute. Sorry ‘Robby’ bout all my bashing in my past :) [sic]” the 16-year-old singer, songwriter and actress wrote on her Twitter page.

As fans must remember, back in April, Miley was speaking to Teen Vogue about her likes and dislikes, just like many other stars, be them her age or not, also do in interviews. Among her likes, the singer listed Jude Law, whom she considered absolutely delicious, and Gerard Butler with his killer abs in “300,” and, of course, stunner Scarlett Johansson. Notably absent from Miley’s list was Robert Pattinson, the British actor who can positively make girls swoon by simply cracking a smile – or so word precedes him in the media.

It’s not so much that Miley thought Rob was ugly or anything along those lines, but rather that she could not understand the fascination with him, especially since she thought it was more because of his character in the film than for anything he had done. “I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with Edward.” Cyrus was saying at the time. Well, clearly, she knows better now, judging from her recent Tweet.
