It looks like actress Mila Kunis is going off the beaten path when it comes to endorsement deals. Whereas most actresses will choose to be the face of a fashion house, a designer, a fragrance or a brand of jewelry, Mila is doing something usually reserved for male celebrities – she's endorsing a bourbon.

Jim Beam might have the right idea on this one. Having a beautiful actress featured on their ads might sell more bottles than having a male celebrity push their product.

The American bourbon maker announced on January 29 that Mila Kunis was their new global partner and spokesperson. “Ayone would want to share a Jim Beam with Mila” said Kevin George, the company's senior vice president. “We love her, and couldn't be happier to have her join the Jim Beam family,” he mentioned in a statement.

In the first promotional shot from the campaign, Mila looks like any American girl from down in Kentucky as she poses in a gray baseball top, tight blue jeans and black booties. The iconic Jim Beam logo can be seen painted on a large barn in the background.

Among the reasons Kunis was chosen to promote Jim Beam were her “love of bourbon,” “warm personality” and “global relevance.”

Getting to know her endorsement product better, Mila took a trip to Kentucky at the Jim Beam plant where she enjoyed the history behind the brand, as well as a tasting of the company's better known products. She was accompanied by Fred Noe, a seventh generation distiller for Jim Beam.

Mila expressed her enthusiasm by saying “As a fan of bourbon and a huge proponent of making history, I am thrilled to be the newest member of the Jim Beam family.” The first commercials featuring the “Ted” actress are going to be released in February.
