14 DAY TRIAL // Exodus Tyson, the 4-year-old daughter of legendary box champion Mike Tyson, was rushed to the hospital a couple of hours ago after being found unresponsive by her brother. It seems the girl almost got her neck caught in a cable from a treadmill and was not able to free herself from it. She is now at the hospital on life support, with sources describing her condition as “extremely critical,” as MyFoxPhoenix can confirm.
According to the publication, the incident occurred at Mike Tyson’s Phoenix apartment, as the little girl was playing around exercise equipment. She was found unresponsive by her brother, who ran to alert their mother, Tyson’s girlfriend. According to the police report, the woman called the ambulance and then tried to resuscitate the little girl, but to no avail.
“The 4-year-old daughter of legendary boxer Mike Tyson is in critical condition after a family member found her hanging from a cord. Monday around 10:30 a.m., Phoenix Police and paramedics were called out to Tyson’s home in the 6100 block of 10th Ave in Phoenix on reports of an unresponsive child. CPR was administered and 4-year-old Exodus Tyson was taken to St. Joe’s Hospital. She’s on life support and in extremely critical condition.” the aforementioned media outlet says of the tragic incident.
Police are saying the incident was accidental and no one seems to be at fault in any way, but they are still investigating the case and need more time to come to a definite conclusion. “Somehow the little girl got something caught across her throat, she became unresponsive, the boy went and got the mother, and the mother came out and found the child.” Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Hill says for the same media outlet. Tyson’s neighbors are equally shocked by the accident, especially since Exodus’ mother is described as one of the sweetest, “most doting” women to have ever existed.
At the time the incident took place, Mike Tyson was in Las Vegas but he has flown home in the meantime, and is now at the hospital, at his daughter’s bedside. The former champion has been living in Phoenix for the past 5 years, with his girlfriend and their two children.
