Jimmy Kimmel was on fire with his post-Oscars special, “Jimmy Kimmel Live! After the Academy Awards,” and, with the kind of skits he included in it, it’s no wonder. After the Humpilates sketch we also told you about earlier today, he ran a clip recreating “The King’s Speech” for the American audiences.

The British indie film, made, as Kimmel himself notes in the video embedded at the end of the article, for a very small budget, was the big winner at the Oscars 2011 on Sunday.

It took home awards for Best Movie, Best Actor (Colin Firth) and Best Director, so it’s safe to say we should expect more parodies.

Kimmel, though, was here first.

He introduced the skit saying that, since “King’s Speech” was such a hit, it was to be expected for a US version to be made as well.

It would be called “The President’s Speech” and would star former boxer Mike Tyson and George Bush Jr. (played in the skit by an actor, of course).

Also, the film would tell the story of how Bush managed to correct his many slips of the tongue, which went down in history as “Bushisms,” as MovieFone also notes.

“The sketch involves Tyson (or ‘Sir Michael Tyson’ as he is credited) apparently helping ex-President of the USA, George Bush. Jnr, through his problems with ‘Bushisms.’ As you will probably know, Bush was famous for his linguistic errors whilst public speaking throughout his presidency,” the movie-oriented e-zine says.

It was to be expected, then, to include in the skit some of Bush’s most famous televised blunders.

“The sketch features clips of some famous Bushisms, such as ‘I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully’ and ‘Putting food on your family’,” MovieFone says.

“Tyson, taking on the Geoffrey Rush role from the movie, watches on as Bush finally gets his speeches straight after some intense coaching (which mostly involves Tyson making wibbling noises),” the e-zine adds.

Below is the segment from Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Oscar special – it’s a must see. Enjoy.
