Meet Miggo, a new camera strap / protective case Kickstarter project that already has lots of backers. What makes Miggo more special than usual camera straps is the fact that it allows you to carry your camera around your neck like an usual strap but, in addition to that, it can instantly convert into a protective case.
Miggo was designed for medium-size digital SLRs and mirrorless cameras and it’s made from energy-absorbing Neoprene and soft Lycra materials that give it a unique, stylish look.
Currently, you can choose from two Miggo products: the Strap and Wrap that can be used as a neck / shoulder strap and doubles up as a protective camera case, and the Grip and Wrap that is more compact and comes with a padded wrist grip to securely lock the camera and avoid accidental drops.
While the modular design makes both versions suitable for a large number of DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, we recommend measuring your camera first to see if it fits with Miggo.
The strap also comes with a multipurpose steel screw that securely holds your camera attached to the strap, but also serves as a tripod mount without having to detach your camera from Miggo.
After receiving feedback from various camera users who lost their lens caps, the developers have also added a special pocket for the lens cover so you won't have to worry about losing it. Each model will be available in seven different colors and patterns.
