The development team at Monolith and publisher Warner Bros. are just one day away from the launch of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and the two companies are aiming to improve the sales of the title by launching an entirely new trailer that focuses on the content that will be delivered as part of the Season Pass concept.

The footage focuses on the new missions that gamers will be able to complete and the challenges that are offered so that players can test their skills and compare their results with those of their friends and rivals.

The Season Pass offered for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will include: - Guardians of the Flaming Eye mission focused on an Orc warband, allowing players to get a Rising Flame rune by battling an elite force of Sauron troops; - Lord of the Hunt story mission, which offers access to new epic runes and more skills if they manage to take out monsters in Mordor; - The Bright Lord mission, which allows gamers to become Celebrimbor, a great Elven king of the Second Age, and actually battle the physical incarnation of Sauron as he commands his forces in combat; - three types of challenges, including an endless one, which offer access to more runes; - access to future content that will deliver more missions, skins and runes.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be launched on September 30 on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the title have been delayed to November 18.

A focus on the Nemesis system

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor takes gamers to the period between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and allows them to become Talion, a ranger killed by Sauron’s forces who is brought back to life and is determined to get revenge and make sure that all those who harmed his family are defeated.

The focus of the gameplay is the Nemesis system, which allows certain characters to evolve based on their interactions with the player character and creates new situations based on how the gamer decides to act.

The Season Pass for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be launched starting November and some of the content will be offered in early 2015.

The game also has a special Palantir app, which is used to offer gamers more info about the world they are exploring and to allow fans to highlight the best moments of the title.
