Seeing as how Halo: Reach, the newest installment in the first person shooter, has once again proved to be one of the most profitable games released this year, Microsoft is looking to really take the franchise to new directions with its newly-established 343 Industries studio.

In order to do so, the company has just posted a new job listing on the Microsoft Career website, saying that it is looking for a new technical artist that will be able to offer a new vision for the Halo franchise.

"Microsoft's 343 Industries is looking for exceptional talent to help breathe a fresh vision into a new Halo experience. Teamwork, innovation, attention-to-detail and unbridled passion are characteristics we look for in all of our technical artists. If you are a top talent looking for an exciting, high profile project to challenge you, this is where you need to be," read the job listing at Microsoft's own career website.

The company has been teasing the projects of 343 Industries for quite some time, and rumors about a persistent Halo experience, spread across the Xbox 360, Xbox Live and on other devices, including mobile phones, appeared some time ago.

As you all know, Bungie, the studio behind the massively successful Halo first person shooter franchise, is officially done with the series, and is now working with Activision on a whole new project.

As such, Microsoft, who owns the Halo franchise, set up its own studio, 343 Industries, to continue working on new titles after Halo: Reach was released.

Judging by this new listing, the Redmond-based company is really trying to recruit the best talent out there in order to do the franchise justice.

Do you think the Halo series will be successful under Microsoft's new rule or will it crumble without the guidance of Bungie and the team that really made it that popular?
