Lumia 900, the latest Windows Phone from the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia, is no longer available for pre-order in the United States via Microsoft’s Stores.

Apparently, Nokia is getting ready to launch the device in the near future, or at least to make an official announcement on the matter, and Microsoft decided it would be better if it halted reservations for the device.

For the last several days, users in the United States interested in the purchase of a Nokia Lumia 900 have been able to reserve the device via Microsoft’s Stores for when it becomes officially available for acquisition.

Microsoft was offering the Black version of the device for pre-orders in the beginning, but it added the recently leaked white version of the handset as well.

However, reservations are no longer available at Microsoft’s locations, and those who planned the purchase of a Lumia 900 in the US, would have to wait longer, until more on the handset’s availability is unveiled.

Rumor has it that the smartphone will hit shelves in the country on March 18th, featuring a price tag of $99 attached to it.

Nothing has been officially confirmed on this for the time being, but specific details on the matter should emerge soon via the Microsoft Store Facebook Page.

Lumia 900 is the first smartphone from Nokia to arrive with support for 4G LTE networks. The handset was made official in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and will hit the US exclusively on the airwaves of AT&T.

The smartphone packs a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, along with a 1.4GHz application processor, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording.

The mobile phone also includes support for LTE networks, as well as 3G and WiFi capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, and access to a wide range of services and applications designed for the Windows Phone 7.5 OS it runs under.
