Windows Phone fans are probably already aware of the fact that Microsoft plans to roll out the latest version of its mobile platform later this month, but what you most certainly don't know yet is when exactly you will receive Nokia's Lumia Cyan update.

The Lumia Cyan update is meant to bring new features and improvements to all Nokia smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.1. This means that it will be rolled out after Microsoft releases Windows Phone 8.l for the general public.

Thanks to @evleaks, we now know when exactly Lumia Cyan update will hit Nokia devices. Obviously, given the fact that Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 930 ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, they also come with Lumia Cyan pre-installed.

However, according to a confidential document that has just surfaced online, the first Windows Phone 8 handsets to get the update are the Nokia Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925. The rollout for these devices will start in week 25, which begins on June 15.

The rest of the Lumia smartphones are set to receive the Cyan update from week 26, which starts on June 22. These are the devices confirmed to receive the update beginning this period: Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 625, Lumia 720, Lumia 820, Lumia 920 and Lumia 1320.

Keep in mind that the leaked scheduler is for the Benelux region (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg), so Lumia Cyan may be available in other countries at a much later date.

It's also worth mentioning that the schedules mentioned in the document are for unlocked versions of the Lumia smartphones and subject to change.

This means that Microsoft is not yet committed to these dates. Also, carrier-branded versions of the Lumia smartphone may receive the Cyan update sooner or later than the timeframes mentioned in the document.

The Lumia Cyan update will most likely be rolled out in stages, so not all Lumia owners might receive it in the same week.

In fact, the deployment of the update may last several weeks, up to a few months, and that's only for unlocked devices. As mentioned earlier, Lumia smartphones purchased through various carriers will have different timelines when it comes to the Cyan update.

All in all, we expect more details on the Lumia Cyan update to surface online in the next couple of days, given the fact that the first smartphones to receive the upgrade are scheduled in this document for mid-June. Stay tuned for more on this one.
