With the Mobile World Congress set to kick off in Barcelona in roughly two weeks from now, and with a great deal of rumors surrounding Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, all eyes are now turned towards the Redmond-based software giant and its moves regarding the mobile market. And it seems that next month will bring us two mobile-related events from Microsoft, one set for Monday, February 15, while the other is scheduled one week later, on February 22.

According to a press-release the company posted on its website, February will be full of events with the financial community, and there will also be two of them related to the Mobile Communication Business, one of which is set to take place right after their press conference at the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, while the other is clearly related to Windows Mobile, and is set to take place one week later:

Microsoft financial analyst briefing at the 2010 Mobile World Congress Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 7 p.m. CET/ 10 a.m. PST Andy Lees, senior vice president, Mobile Communication Business

Windows Mobile financial analyst conference call Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 8 a.m. PST Andy Lees, senior vice president, Mobile Communication Business.

These scheduled events related to the company's mobile business are only adding more fuel to the fire, that's for sure. Microsoft has been heavily rumored during the past several weeks to be on its way to unveil to the world not one but two different versions of its mobile client at MWC, namely Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and Windows Mobile 7, with the former already making a series of appearances lately, one in an accidentally released Windows Mobile 6.5 SDK on Microsoft's download site.

There are no official details on what these events might be all about, but we can only imagine that the company will indeed offer us a glimpse at the future of its mobile platform. For some this might mean that WM 7 is as good as confirmed, but we'll keep our reserves until MWC is here.
