While the Redmond Company is still reluctant to publishing the actual Windows Vista release dates, limiting information to the general time table according to which the operating system will ship to volume license customers in November 2006 and to the general public in January 2007, Microsoft has made available official product pricing details.

With the exception of Windows Vista Enterprise that is only available to Microsoft Volume License customers and not for retail, Microsoft has "suggested" prices for all other versions of Vista.

Windows Vista Home Basic: Retail price for full package product, $199.00 USD. Upgrade retail price, $99.95 USD. Windows Vista Home Premium: Retail price for full package product, $239.00 USD. Upgrade retail price, $159.00 USD. Windows Vista Business: Retail price for full package product, $299.00 USD. Upgrade retail price, $199.00 USD. Windows Vista Ultimate: Retail price for full package product, $399.00 USD. Upgrade retail price, $259.00 USD.

Similitudes between Microsoft's current prices and Amazon's price listing made public the past week confirm the information posted by the Internet retailer down to the last details. Moreover, Amazon has already announced Windows Vista's release date for 30 January 2007.
