Although the Redmond Company is not offering any specific details at this time related to the upcoming version of its browser, Chris Wilson, Microsoft IE Platform Manager did host a MIX07 session entitled "IE7 Past, Present, and Future."
As you may have already guessed, the Future reference is intimately connected to Internet Explorer 8.0. "Who ever said that what happens in Vegas has to stay in Vegas? Chris Wilson's session about IE7 and IE8 (right click and select Save Target As) is available for download over at VisitMIX. Users can either download the session in a Windows Media Player compatible format, namely .WMV, and watch it on their desktops or on Zune digital media players. Additionally, Microsoft is also offering the recording via the new Silverlight technology and browser plug-in, for the users that will want to opt for watching Wilson online.
