Microsoft is not true to the tradition of what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Not even by far. And this is why users across the world will be able to watch a Microsoft video about Internet Explorer 8.0. Although the Redmond Company is not offering any specific details at this time related to the upcoming version of its browser, Chris Wilson, Microsoft IE Platform Manager did host a MIX07 session entitled "IE7 Past, Present, and Future."

As you may have already guessed, the Future reference is intimately connected to Internet Explorer 8.0. "Who ever said that what happens in Vegas has to stay in Vegas? Due to the SOLD OUT status of MIX07 we are planning on making recordings of all sessions available by the very next day! So stay tuned as we bring the MIX07 Vegas experience straight to you?minus the gambling, showgirls, and dancing fountains of course", reads the invitation for the VisitMIX website.

Chris Wilson's session about IE7 and IE8 (right click and select Save Target As) is available for download over at VisitMIX. Users can either download the session in a Windows Media Player compatible format, namely .WMV, and watch it on their desktops or on Zune digital media players. Additionally, Microsoft is also offering the recording via the new Silverlight technology and browser plug-in, for the users that will want to opt for watching Wilson online.

"Hear from Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 team about the journey from mea culpa to broad market acceptance. Hear what went right, what had to be cut, and how development priorities are set. Also, understand what Microsoft's browser investments mean to you, and make sure you get a voice in shaping the next version of Internet Explorer. Hear about what features and layout issues are being worked on, and let us know what causes you the most problems," is the abstract that describes the "IE7 Past, Present, and Future" session.

Still, Microsoft did not stop at "IE7 Past, Present, and Future." In fact, users will be able to tap into a luxuriant collection of sessions recorded at MIX2007 on various subjects.
