Desktop and application personalization is the key to attracting business. And Windows Vista together with Windows Live Messenger make no exception to this rule. Both Microsoft's latest operating system and instant messaging client have evolved in terms of customization in comparison to their more rigid predecessors. And nowhere is this aspect more evident than in the increasing popularity of online personalization resources.

LiveSide reported that Windows Live Gallery, Microsoft's one stop resource fountain for customization, has attracted in excess of 3.9 unique visitors just in March 2007. The past month, Windows Live Gallery was a popular online hotspot accounting for over 27 million page views. And there is no stopping for Microsoft, as the Redmond Company has introduced additional content and provided a visual redesign.

Windows Live Gallery currently features content for Windows Vista, Windows Live Messenger, Toolbar, Live.com, Spaces, Windows Search, SideShow and Writer. "Windows Live Messenger personal expression - now you can get all of your Windows Live Messenger personalization needs on Windows Live Gallery including emoticons, display pictures (aka avatars), backgrounds, winks and more. We will launch with a sampling of content and users and our partners will be adding loads of content in the future. User experience updates - we have changed the navigation in the community after lot of great user feedback. This will make it easier for everyone to find what they want and need," revealed Kip Kniskern for LiveSide.

Microsoft additionally has increased the focus over the premium publishers that deliver content for Windows Live Gallery. In this context, Microsoft will announce a series of benefits directed at the Windows Live Gallery partners that will make their content stand out from the "crowd."
